Development of the Cube Component $$ \left( {\left\{ 001 \right\}\left\langle {100} \right\rangle } \right) $$ During Plane Strain Compression of Copper and Its Importance in Recrystallization Nucleation

The origin of cube recrystallization texture in medium to high stacking-fault energy fcc metals has been debated for almost 70 years. Despite numerous experimental and simulation studies, many issues regarding the nucleation growth grains remain unresolved. Here we apply a full field crystal plasticity model utilizing dislocation density based constitutive theory study deformation evolution copper (Cu) under plane strain compression. Additionally, use phase method, along with stochastic model, static simulations. Simulation results show that volume fraction component during decreases increasing strain. Although are not stable compression, some non-cube rotate towards develop narrow bands near grain boundary region. With deformation, accumulates faster than other components. High stored regions leads preferential recrystallization. These nuclei originate from intergranular bands. clear advantage, none appears have advantage. Instead, heterogeneous distribution profound influence on resulting size distribution. During recrystallization, significant increase is observed mainly due frequency grains.
